This project played a crucial role in enhancing South Africa’s vocational training infrastructure. Ngobeng conducted needs assessments to determine the most appropriate locations and specialisations for new skills development centres. We developed detailed briefs for each centre, outlining required facilities and equipment, and managed the site selection process, including feasibility studies and due diligence. Our team oversaw the design process, ensuring facilities met both current needs and allowed for future expansion. We managed the tender process for construction and equipment supply, coordinating with various stakeholders, including local governments, industry partners, and educational institutions.
Ngobeng oversaw the construction and fit-out of the centres, ensuring adherence to schedule and budget, and managed the procurement and installation of specialised training equipment. We coordinated the development of curricula and training materials with educational experts and oversaw the recruitment and training of centre staff. Our team managed the official launch and initial operations of the centres and developed monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess their impact. This project likely resulted in the establishment of state-of-the-art training facilities, enhancing South Africa’s capacity to develop skilled workers in key industries.
