Ngobeng conducted a comprehensive investigation of Forest Farm, a crucial step in determining the site’s development potential. Our team performed an in-depth analysis of the site’s physical characteristics, including topography, soil conditions, and existing vegetation. We assessed the site’s context within the broader urban or rural landscape and evaluated existing infrastructure and services, identifying potential upgrades needed for development. A detailed land use survey of the surrounding area was conducted to understand development patterns.
We analysed relevant policy frameworks, including Spatial Development Frameworks and Integrated Development Plans, and assessed environmental sensitivities and potential ecological impacts of development. Our team evaluated the economic feasibility of various development scenarios and conducted stakeholder interviews to understand local needs and concerns. The result was a comprehensive report detailing our findings, opportunities, constraints, and recommendations for sustainable development of the site. This report provided ARUP with a solid foundation for making informed decisions about the future development of Forest Farm, balancing economic, social, and environmental considerations.
