Munsieville Ext 6 Social Housing Development

This project was a significant undertaking in addressing South Africa’s housing challenges. Ngobeng began with a comprehensive needs assessment to determine the appropriate housing mix and community facilities required. We developed a master plan for the extension, incorporating principles of sustainable and integrated human settlements. Our team coordinated with various government departments to ensure alignment with national housing policies and local development plans.

We managed the township establishment process, including layout planning and securing development rights. Ngobeng oversaw the design of housing units, ensuring they met national norms and standards for social housing. We coordinated the planning and design of supporting infrastructure, including roads, water supply, and sanitation systems. Community participation was a key focus, with our team facilitating processes to ensure the development met local needs and expectations. We managed the environmental impact assessment process and oversaw the preparation of tender documentation for construction. Our project management services extended through the construction phase. This project likely resulted in the provision of quality, affordable housing for hundreds of families, contributing to the government’s efforts to address the housing backlog.
